NLCC 2XI v Birbeck College on Sat 26 May 2007 at 1 30
Match was Abandoned
Promising start, then a flurry of wickets, due to good bowling and questionable umpiring decisions left North London in deep trouble at 65-6. The innings was rescued by Chris Downie and Jack Godfrey-Wood who added 82 runs, punishing the bad balls and some exceleent running between the wickets.
As with the the earlier part of the innings, a flurry of wickets left North London 154 all out.
Highlight of a forgetable day was Jack Godfery-Wood's return to form, a sparkling array of stroke play and sensible batting, which will hopefully be a spring board for many more.
