Small group training - 200 up

15 Jun 2020

Dear NLCC players, parents and supporters,

We launched our small group training programme last Monday - right across the Club. Men, women, boys and girls.

Tonight saw the 200th member to have trained at the Club since last Monday. That’s pretty extraordinary and demonstrates the breadth of our members’ commitment to cricket and NLCC. There’s room for more, so get in touch with your captains or age group managers if you want to get out there. A booking system is in place.

Clearly there are restrictions as to what we can do, and it remains frustrating not to be playing full cricket yet, but we will move to the next phases just as soon as permitted. Andy Bennett is also looking forward to serving you drinks as soon as we can... watch this space.

A big thank you to our cohort of junior coaches for their contributions in enabling our youngsters to have enjoyable cricketing experiences over the past week. More generally, support across the Club has been fantastic. It’s greatly appreciated and I remain convinced that we will come through this period even more integrated as a cricket family than before.

One point - we are working closely with our neighbours in all respects right now. Please enter the Club via our clubhouse entrance and not through Highgate as there are potential bottlenecks down there in terms of “through traffic”. Thank you for your understanding on this.

It has been fantastic to see so many of you enjoying being at the Club over the past week. Here’s to much more cricket for everyone over the weeks and months to come.
