North London Cricket Club - Jack Petchey 2013

Jack Petchey Foundation Award winners 2013

Alex Sewards and Ben Mortimer

U15

in recognition of an impressive batting partnership of 104. It’s easy to praise individual performances but it’s important to remember that teamwork is vital too. Alex scored a fantastic 106, opening and finishing not out, and Ben joined him and also finished not out on 41.

Joe Le Feuvre

U15

who has matured and developed into a very useful player and has especially contributed to the team with his bowling.

Cerys Walker

U11 Girls

She has consistently given 100% in both training and matches with regard to her performance and her attitude.  As the U11 girls captain she has shown excellent leadership skils and has always set a fantastic example to the rest of her team mates through her encouragement of others and sportsmanship.  She is a credit to NLCC and has been a pleasure to coach

Ben Scott

U13

for his recent batting performance in an U15B game against Highgate.  An excellent effort by a boy who was playing boys older than him, some of whom I think play for Highgate's first team.

Thomas Mulcahey

U11

Thomas has a passion for the game of cricket, he works hard at his game, he is a regular and very popular attendee of the Sunday morning training sessions and the Summer Coaching Camp. I think he would accept that he is not our most naturally talented cricketer, but what he lacks in natural talent he makes up for with his efforts to improve his game. Thomas made his first match appearance for the squad this season last Sunday (June 16), he took an excellent catch in the outfield, showing great bravery and technique under a high ball, he then went on to take 3 wickets in the 3 overs that he bowled, whereupon he was mobbed by his team mates who were delighted to share the success of a very popular squad member.

Caitlin Deacock

U13

An intimidating bowler who having worked in her accuracy this year as got some impressive figures. Now developed into an equally aggressive batsman scoring quick runs and starting to build an innings. Now turning out for the U15s on a regular basis.

Rebecca Tidmarsh

U13

Has built on last year where she was third top scorer behind the more established players, including top scoring in both an U13 and U15 Lady  Taverners  game. Captain of the U13s she is a keen and regular trainer and developed into an unflappable batsman. She makes herself available, whether it is for the U13s, U15s, and now the Women's team.

Freddy Issit

U17

This award is for taking on the role of captaincy for the first time ever and growing into it and for the first “five fer” by any colt this season.

Sam Cassells

U17

Sam has a great attitude and enthusiasm and makes a big contribution to the team in the field.  He is always at training and always available for matches.
