Last reviewed and updated:                              11th September 2020

North London Cricket Club (The Club), as an affiliated member of cricket’s national governing body, The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), has adopted the guidelines set down by the ECB for running cricket activity of all kinds specifically for young people.

For the avoidance of any doubt, The Club will follow the ECB guidance and treat the provisions contained in the ECB documents referred to below as Club policy.

The guidelines are created and updated from time to time by the ECB and are posted on its website. This document refers to the most recent list of guidance and provides links to them on the ECB website. These guidelines should be read in conjunction with The Club’s own policies, ratified by the management committee and updated no less frequently than every 12 months.

The Club expects all managers and coaches of young people’s teams and any other cricket activity like summer camps to have read the documents referred to below and will require all coaches paid by the club for their services to have indicated by signature that they agree to adhere to the provisions therein.

This Statement of Adoption is intended to be readily available to all members, parents, coaches and managers involved in young people’s cricket activities provided by The Club. It therefore publishes this Statement on its website along with The Club’s own policies and other guidance.
