London Cricket Club was founded in 1877 and has been playing cricket on its
beautiful grounds ever since. It has grown into one of the biggest clubs in the
county, offering league and cup games throughout the season for more than 300
members - men, women and children.
NLCC has 5 senior teams
playing in the Middlesex County Cricket League on a Saturday, 2 women’s teams
playing 40-and 20-over formats on Sundays, a men’s Sunday league team and an
U21 team in the Middlesex Development League. We have 250 registered juniors
playing in the Middlesex junior leagues and the club enters a team in the
county’s U19 T20 competition and the U17
Youth Cup, offering a wealth of playing and training for young people wanting
to learn and improve in the game.
Training and home games
take place on our two cricket fields nestling in the picturesque conservation area
of Shepherds Cot, one of the nearest cricket facilities to the City and central
London. First-time visitors are always surprised by the delightful green
setting and can’t believe they are still in London.
The setting makes our
clubhouse a popular venue for wedding receptions, birthday parties, wakes, and
office parties or away-days. We have a fully licensed bar and a catering
kitchen. For more information email: email@example.com
If you are interested in
playing junior or women’s cricket, or want to hire a pitch or the clubhouse,
see the relevant tabs on the left hand side of the page. Also there, under the
“Events” tab, you can see all the games for the current season.
North London we participate in the ECB’s national All Stars scheme introducing
young people to the game of cricket in short, fun sessions. For details,
NLCC has recently added
Scotland International, Olivia Rae, to its coaching team and she has launched
her own coaching operation at the club. For more information on Rae
Cricket Coaching see http://raecricketcoaching.co.uk/
As in previous years, the club offers opportunities for
individual or small group coaching, whether with Olivia or one of several other
experienced coaches. It is a good way to develop skills and confidence. For
enquiries and more details generally, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org but move quickly as the coaches are likely to be in demand!
