Former England skipper sends personal video message to NLCC

10 Jul 2020

Michael Vaughan has wished North London CC well for the new, shortened cricket season and congratulated us on getting everything ready for the start this weekend. The former England captain paid tribute to all the players and volunteers who have put in hard graft so that we are ready to play, just a couple of days after the government announced the resumption of club cricket.

Michael recorded his special video message to the club on the second day of the opening Windies test. He warns players they will be rusty and play bad shots and drop catches, but the important thing is getting back onto the cricket field. And the key cricketing advice from the all-formats England skipper: remember you have to bring your own tea, so stock up on your favourite cakes.
